Highland Dancing Competition - Salado, Texas November 2000 - Saint Thomas Episcopal

Salado is a beautiful little town north of Austin on I-35.  The area is known for beautiful scenery, arts and crafts, and superb white-tail hunting!!!  But we few folks with Scottish Dancers in our family know it for the annual Highland Dancing Competition held each November.  The festival has a whole array of activities including Pipe and Drum competition and athletic events such as the caber toss and hammer throw.  This year was Emily's first competition, so I stayed close to the stage.  Here are a selection of pictures from that day.
