Katherine played her first season for Ken Simon's All-Stars.  I have to take a moment and congratulate him on an excellent season.  The girls went deeper into the playoffs then anyone expected, but that is not what I considered to be his accomplishment.  I saw a group of girls who knew almost nothing of soccer grow into a team over the course of one season.  They did this with no one screaming at them, threatening them or acting in any of the other boorish fashions I have seen lately.  Ken was always positive, played everyone equally, and was gracious to parents, kids, opponents and referees alike.  I  think his behavior is something these kids can look back on and emulate - even if they do not remember where it came from.  Great job Ken... we would come play with you again in a heartbeat!!!
