Some
quirky passages (kinda like an unedited :The Stand :) but very thought
provoking. Shadow was too
cool! |

Great
book, wish there was more of it :) Glimpses into a
"fantastical" alternate world! |

Deals
with his time in the concentration camps. This guy is a powerful
writer, but this book is not for the faint of heart. Remember that
it was written by a man who later committed suicide. It is worth
reading to understand the period, but I am not sure we are better for
having read it - does that make sense?? Very disheartening book. |

My
first taste of his writing. I wish that I had realized this was so
far along before I started. Very intriguing universe he has created.
Even without reading the previous books, the characters are well fleshed -
sometimes painfully so. |
